George passed into eternity at 12:45am this morning.
The battle is over, and faith has won. Visitation will
be Monday night and the Funeral will be Tuesday - times to
follow late today. Heaven rejoices as another of God's
children comes home. Yet our hearts are torn between
celebrating with him and our own loss of a very special man.
He meant so much to our church family. Your continued
prayers for the family are appreciated. Pastor Ray

The news remains that George is being called home by God.
He told me that in times past when he was close to death
that God did not need any more comedians in heaven yet.
I guess it is time. The last family members are arriving
tonight. As soon as they do, the doctors and family
have made the decision to remove life support. His
spirit may already be the Lord right now. Helen and
family will be coming home tomorrow.
TENTATIVE plans are for visitation on Monday and Funeral on
Tuesday. These will be confirmed by Saturday night.
I will write more personal thoughts and reflections soon.

The family has been called in to spend the last hour(s)
by his side. We love his family and our hearts go out
to them. We pray for God's strength for you and peace
in these hours.

Dear Church
Family,
I want to update you on George.
From our side of eternity, our hearts are broken as George
physical condition rapidly worsens. As you may know, he was
put on life support yesterday, and now his body is filled
with toxins that they can no longer remove. His organs are
shutting down.
As of a few minutes ago, the doctors have told us that they
have done all they can at this point. If he has not already
been released from the bounds of this old earth, then they
give him as few as a couple of hours to live -- and as long
as a day or two at the most. Keith, the girls, and Helen are
all there with him, as well as other family members and
friends. Please keep them in your prayers, they are
struggling as you can imagine... along with all of us who
love George deeply, myself being no exception.
From the other side of eternity, from God's perspective,
things look very different - both for heaven and for George.
We know that when Jesus calls him home in the next hours,
that will be glory for him. As Helen told me yesterday, I am
so glad I know the Lord, for our hope is not in this life
but in a better place that God has promised.
Thank you for your love and support for this family in
difficult time.
Pastor Ray
