Learn About New Life Church Irmo SC

How and When We Started

New Life started in 1990 in a storefront building in the center of Irmo.  In 1999, we moved to 10809 Broad River Rd. into our own facilities.  In 2007, we added a second building called the "Connection Center".  In 2008, Wal-Mart in Ballentine moved in directly behind our church. We are so excited that the surrounding community is growing rapidly all around us!

The Atmosphere and Heart of New Life

We are a warm contemporary church of people from a variety of social, economic, and even religious backgrounds. We are not hung up on dress or formalities. Be yourself, dress comfortably and come as you are!  We embrace singles, empty nesters, the traditional family, the young and older, from all races.  We do not look at externals but see each person as a precious creation of God.

We are deeply focused on growing strong, mature Christians and Christ-centered families through practical Bible teaching and relevant messages with practical applications. We use drama, music videos, video clips, and powerpoint presentations, usually with a touch of humor to keep it interesting!  However, though we enjoy a good laugh, we are serious about applying the messages to our life.

Our worship band plays a mix of contemporary worship songs with a few favorite hymns mixed in.The words are clearly displayed by powerpoint so you can join in worship when you are ready!

What to Expect When You Visit:

  • You should expect a warm welcome, regardless of who are you.
  • You should expect refreshing music and an invitation to participate in worship.
  • We are a "family focused" Christian church.
  • We are people just like you, from a variety of social, economic, and even religious backgrounds.
  • We are not hung up on dress or formalities, but are deeply 'hung up' on helping people grow into a whole person through practical Bible teaching.
  • We are a warm contemporary church of people from the community who have found "new life" that only Jesus can give and care about having strong families.
  • We often stress that where you have been is not as important as where you are going.  We are a church where you can have a "New Start"!  You will feel welcomed when you visit.
