Week 2 The Devil
II Cor 2:10-11 Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, 11 in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.
∙ II Cor 11:3 But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.
∙ Eph 6. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms
When talk about devil, REALLY talking about his schemes
Who is Satan? - HE IS A FALLEN ANGEL
Rev 12.7-9 Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8 But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9 The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray.
∙ John 10:10. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy
∙ Rev 12.12 – But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.”

∙ Gen 3:4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it.
SCHEME 3 Deception
∙ John 8:44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
SCHEME 4 Accusation
Revelation 12:10,For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down
Romans 8:1 (NIV) "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."
