Matthew 6:25-27-25 Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
Mental health is a state of emotional, psychological, and social well-being that influences how individuals think, feel, behave, and cope with life's stresses
1st Thing: The Reality
Proverbs 20:5 The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out.
2nd Thing: Our Emotions Are Real, But They're Not Complete
We must put our emotions into perspective about where they come from.
2 Kings 6:15-17-15 When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?” the servant asked. 16 “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. Our Emotions Are Real, But They're Not Complete
3rd Thing: Our Emotions are Valid, but They're Not Permanent

Our Emotions Are Real, But They're Not Complete
3rd Thing: Our Emotions are Valid, but They're Not Permanent
Emotions may not always pass quickly… but they do not have the final word.
John 16:22-22 So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again, and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.

4th Thing: The Past and the Future
When we look into the past and see our mistakes, regrets, and failures, and gaze at them too long, we fall into depression.
When we look into the future and ask “what-ifs” and gaze at them too long, we fall into anxiety.
Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. When we keep our eyes on today, it is actionable.
